DJ Tim Sweeney has plenty to be happy about these days, not the least of which is that his long-running radio show Beats in Space turns ten this year. In addition to featuring his own eclectic selections, BiS has hosted a who’s who of dance music’s finest as guests on the show, with the likes of Hercules & Love Affair’s Andy Butler, Carl Craig, Lindstrøm and many others either sending in mixes or dropping by WNYU’s studio on a Tuesday night to play their favorite records. We caught up with the DFA house DJ, recent producer, and inveterate music lover while he was making a pit stop in New York in between headlining BiS ten year anniversary shows around the globe.

R.I.P Jerry Fuchs

Jerry Fuchs, a drummer who played in bands including !!!, has died after an elevator

The musician, who was 34, died after a fall at a fundraising party at 338 Berry St shortly after 12:30am (EST) yesterday (November 8) morning, reports theNew York Post.

According to sources at the party, Fuchs and a friend had attempted to leap over a gap between an elevator and the building's fifth floor after a malfunction. He fell in the gap due to his clothing becoming caught on the elevator, falling down to his death.

He was pronounced dead at 3:30am after being taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Fuch replaced the band's original drummer Anthony Mikel Gius, who died after he was hit by a car while riding his bike in 2005.

Fuchs played in the bands Turing Machine, Maserati and The Juan MacLean as well as !!!

RIP Jerry, thanks for everything that you gave to the world of music

I guess it's not WRONG to make such effort, but after you endure years and tears in the world of architecture. And getting lots of values and doctrines.... This somehow is NOT right for the eyes this century's architects. But then again, like i said this might be a revolution, OR this might be a complete junk, in couple years forward. Hmmmmm.....
