The Micronauts

The Micronauts is the solo project of composer and producer Christophe Monier. He decided to become a musician at age 4 after listening to The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky. Then he learned classical piano, classical and jazz guitar. One of his professors in college of art was Iannis Xenakis. Monier is also half of the deep house band Rituel and runs the label Micronautics. Other projects he was involved are Discotique, The Eurostars, Impulsion andNature.

The musical project The Micronauts begins in the mid 90s. The first track, Get Funky Get Down, is also the first track to be remixed by Daft Punk. Quickly it’s the turn of The Micronauts to remix many artists, such as The Chemical Brothers, OMD, Underworld and Death In Vegas. Follows the signing on Science, a sub-label of Virgin UK, and the release of the single The Jag in 1999, with a music videomade by Hollywood director Gregg Araki. The beginning of 2000 sees the release of the mini-album Bleep To Bleep, including the track Baby Wants To Bleep.

In the middle of 2000, Christophe Monier decides to pursue solo the adventure The Micronauts, that he shared until then with George Issakidis. He remixes Madonna and Mirwais, amongst others. In 2004, he launches the label Micronautics to release its own material without intermediary, in real time. 

The label’s style is typical of The Micronauts, an eclectic mixture of house, techno and electro, tending heavily toward acid and experimental sounds. Success is immediate thanks to High Rise, a hit on the underground techno scene.

Two years later, Vitalic’s label Citizen Records signs The Micronauts, and Micronautics is paused. A double CD is released in September 2007, made of a new album, Damaging Consent, and of the compilation A Remixes Retrospective. 

On the album is included the song Reaction, which has a music video directed by Danakil (aka Cyrille de Vignemont).

After a period spent working as a producer, remixer and sound engineer, Christophe Monier relaunches his label Micronautics in 2012.

Kraftwerk (meaning power station) from Düsseldorf, Germany, is an influential electronic music project that was formed by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1970, and was fronted by them until Schneider's departure in 2008. The signature Kraftwerk sound combines driving, repetitive rhythms with catchy melodies, mainly following a Western Classical style of harmony, with a minimalistic and strictly electronic instrumentation. The group's simplified lyrics are at times sung through a vocoder or generated by computer-speech software. Kraftwerk were one of the first groups to popularize electronic music and are considered pioneers in the field. In the 1970s and early 1980s, Kraftwerk's distinctive sound was revolutionary, and has had a lasting effect across many genres of modern music.

Jakarta is known for its "problems ", on the other hand it is also a place of birth for many talented musician , DJ's and producer.

Vanishing Point is a party for people that needed to express themselves thru music or simply just to have great time. Here we are trying to combine DJs with different background , age, community , musical genre to hopefully create a wonderfull moment out of it. Despite all the problems or gaps and walls , Were in this together living in the same city sharing the same goods and bad ,so let us unite as a unit to elevate the music scene here in Jakarta.

1.Heru :

One of the biggest name in jakarta's underground dance scene, the first time we heard the name was his role at "HOUSELIFE" in the early 2000. Afterwards he join forces with the "QUIRK IT!" crew , one of the most influential underground party in jakarta. Also he is playing for "360 Ent." Heru's long time experience in playing house records will bring a great pleasure for us.

2.Aryo :

A rare DJ set performance by Aryo "Space System 's half blood" ,Unquestionable about his type of music, strong character in music and bold in every performances. He is Currently running a program " Listen To The World "(listentotheworld.net) and also one of Space Rec finest called "A Fine Tuning Creation". Expect the unexpected .

3.Boga :

The man behind the drums for "FREEDOM OF CHOICE" and one of the members from "MASSIVE WHAT?"(massivewhat.blogspot.com) a dance community thats based on Jakarta , Angga's deep vibe, Afro Acid percussions ,and techno beats will be add a great texture to the show. A serious person with a serious attitude in music,no question about his determination in underground music scene.

4.Gerhan :

Started playing records back in the late 90's,Gerhan's musical journey begins at San Fransisco,California. with his widely knowledge of music. Gerhan often share the deck in San fransisco's underground party,one of the true indonesian underground pioneer. He is one of the founder of weekly party called "Reggae Revolution" Jakarta back in the good old parc days. In 2006 gerhan-heru-aditya-leo-ridwan decided to make "QUIRK IT!",the most consistent underground party in jakarta till present time. Gerhan aka KOMODO is one of Space Rec artist that based in Rossi Musik Studio Fatmawati.

Sacred Spirit members are Markus Stab, Claus Zundel, Ralf Hamm.

They first released album in 1988 named "Chants And Dances Of The Native Americans".

The Germany American had brought voices of native Americans up to deep techno tunes covered it by jazz, blues, house,etc

Sacred Spirit (in some regions known as Sacred Spirits) is Zundel’s most successful project, with total worldwide album sales estimated to be over 10 million copies. For each Sacred Spirit album sold, a donation is made to the Native American Rights Fund, the non’profit American Indian organization devoting all its time to restoring the legal rights of the native American people.
